After slacking for the past week and not posting (thursday at Rocco's, Sunday seeing the perfect condo (yes I said CONDO) to aquire, but realizing there was no way it would be mine, nursed my sorrows in mango coconut curry at Noodle Station), I figured I couldn't go without posting tonight's delish dish.

Japanese Restaurant Week started on Sunday. Being the poor foodie I am, I had to take advantage. Chanto had the best deal. Their $80 tasting menu was $55 for the week and it was amazing!

7 Course Tasting Menu:
COLD APPETIZER:
Fatty Tuna Carpaccio served with spicy soy sauce and scallion salad

HOT APPETIZER:
Tebagyo chicken wing filled with pork gyoza dumpling stuffing marinated with teriyaki sauce

FISH ENTREE:
Sautéed Miso Marinated Black Cod sake kasu sauce garnished with sake pickled plum & watercress salad

HASHIYASUME (Intermezzo):
Yuzu Sorbet

MEAT ENTREE:
Dry Aged Sirloin Steak served on a bed of jyaga butter with wasabi and soy sauce

SUSHI:
Today's Sushi Chefs Omakase

DESSERT:
Chanto Chocolate Fondant served with green tea ice cream
